In today's new age the buzzword is startups, although its nothing new as during the course of human history right from the industrial revolution companies started operations, the end goals were same i.e to build a sustainable cash flow positive company however the means to achieve may have changed.
Today's giants have amazing stories, some have humble beginnings starting from a dorm room to a garage, I am sure none of the founders of today's GIANT companies had envisaged their scale today.
Even today's companies have humble beginnings, below are some instances:
When the Indian bus ticketing app Red Bus started operations the founder's went to the bus stop to make sure their customer found the right seat.
Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos says that most decisions in his life are based on intuitions and when he started it was humble beginnings after all, he used to deliver the orders to the post office himself so that they could be shipped to the customers across the country. He also says that during the initial days his wish was to earn enough to buy a forklift. From then to now I am sure he must have not imagined the scale of Amazon's operation.
In today's interconnected world many things have changed in terms of setting up shop, right from finding the right animal spirits to funding from Private Equity firms rather than the traditional banks.
Perseverance is the most common factor in the startup ecosystem, the ability to make sacrifices and try again in the face of defeats.
